Dear Investor, Re: Progress Report NEW MANAGEMENT
We are delighted to report that James W. LeMay, and Gratian Yatsevitch, have agreed to become the new top management for Sunrise Lake Memorial Garden, LLC. Gratian Yatsevitch was appointed Vice President-Finance/Investor Relations in an engagement letter agreement signed September 4, 2007. Jim LeMay will be Chief Operating Officer and James E. Burk will act as General Counsel.
Jim Burk is a partner in the law firm of Burk & Reedy in Washington, D.C., a law firm specializing in some of the most challenging and interesting areas of entrepreneurial law including securities law.
Our new Chief Operating Officer, Jim LeMay, has been responsible for assembling our construction and engineering team. He has also spearheaded the basic design of what will ultimately be Sunrise’s three-mile Perimeter Columbarium Wall with the engineers, Greenhorne & O’Mara, the landscape architects Oehme, van Sweden and Associates, Inc., the structural engineers, Kirkham Michael, and our local engineer Linden White.
Mr. LeMay has been in the land development business for over thirty years. He started as a land surveyor and civil engineer for a civil engineering company in Kansas City. He rose to a supervisory position and added land planning to the department’s services. He moved to Denver in 1981 and after initially working for a civil engineering company he joined a major land development firm where he developed expertise in all phases of land development. Subsequently, he and partners developed projects in Virginia and Colorado. Since 1999 he has operated his own company that serves as a consultant for land developers, whom he assists in all phases of development from land acquisition, planning and engineering through construction management and arranging for re-sales. His company performs due diligence, assists in the entitlement process and represents them in public hearings. It prepares and tracks budgets and schedules and serves as liaison between the developers and their other consultants and colleagues: planners, engineers, contractors, architects, attorneys, accountants, realtors and other builders and developers.
Gratian M. Yatsevitch, III, Vice President-Finance/Investor Relations, 58, graduated from Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1971. Mr. Yatsevitch has extensive international experience working in advertising and marketing in Europe (based in Paris, France) for Fairchild Publications. Returning to the United States in 1979, he joined the firm of John Muir & Co., an investment banking and brokerage company and subsequently with other investment firms. In 1987, he started his own investment firm, Investors Group Ltd., McLean, Virginia and subsequently bought Marshal Davis, Inc. of Denver, Colorado. He has extensive experience with early stage companies, including their structuring, financing, and initial public offerings. He became a cofounder in 1993 of International Shoe Manufacturing Corp. that he guided into becoming publicly traded company in 1998 and was subsequently sold in 2005. In 2002, he joined The Credit People Company that was an originator of mortgage loans, generating both residential and commercial loans. He is presently the president of World Trade & Investments Inc, but will be devoting substantial time to the needs of Sunrise Lake Memorial Garden, LLC for its financing needs.
Prospective investors who have indicated an interest in investing in Sunrise but who have waited during this transition to new management can now proceed. Gratian and the new Sunrise management team intend to continue Sunrise’s opening chronology:
